Location, Staff & Restaurant are TOPS
Firstly, the location is excellent, at Kensington District and across the bridge to Downtown. Staff/desk was wonderful and helpful. The room w\quiet, the bed great. Against expectations, the Restaurant proved … to be a great experience. What else would a traveler want?

I love this place and think back on it often!
I love this Inn and wish upon wish I could clone it in other cities. I have tried hard to find its twin elsewhere but to no avail. I consider it the gold standard for a Boutique or even a corporate/business … hotel. I had business in town and wanted something other than the usual big box hotel and this fit the ticket splendidly. Cannot wait for my next trip to Calgary.

Wonderful Welcome to Alberta
We began our ten-day Alberta getaway in Calgary at the Kensington Riverside Inn on Memorial Drive. As a small inn located just northwest of the downtown core in the neighborhood called Kensington, I'd consider … these accommodations a place for a special occasion a short distance from the bustle of the city but still in the city. Besides being a beautiful property with spacious, lovely rooms (we resided in the "Executive King" at the back part of the inn on the first level--room 105--which included a charming garden patio), the KRI's strength is in customer service. Friendly, service-oriented and always professional, staff accommodated us as needed. Already mentioned in previous reviews, but I'll mention it again: Special touches include tea at our doorstep at 6:30 AM (we did not sip ours until 9 AM, but it was hot enough for us), a local newspaper along with the tea and bikes to use gratis on the nearby and beautiful bike trails, which are located right across the street along the Bow River. (Apparently there are 300 miles worth of trails throughout Calgary according to our guide from "Round the Block" city bus tours.)
A $20 per night per guest allowance / credit was included with our room, which we applied at the inn's restaurant, "Chef's Table", where food was carefully prepared, generous, pretty and delicious. Plan to spend more than the credit alotted, especially once you add cocktails, appetizers and desserts.
Thank you to innkeeper Kerry who cheerily accommodated our early arrival, and a shoutout to concierge Zahava, who arranged four tours in the Rockies for us prior to our arrival. (We continued our vacation for the next four days through the Rockies--Banff and Jasper National Parks--then on to Edmonton for another three days.) We are ever grateful to the staff at the Kensington Riverside Inn for making our trip to Calgary comfortable and relaxing!
Overall, a memorable experience--a place we would recommend to friends and family.
